March 2000

    LIG Computer was founded by Lawrence Glauberman in March 2000 for the purpose of building high quality computers at a reasonable price, and to offer the services required to completely install and properly maintain them. LIG believes that providing timely assistance and support for its products and services is a key ingredient to generating satisfied, repeat customers.

    LIG Computer uses only select high quality, name brand components in our products to help insure good compatibility and functionality on every product sold. LIG Computer uses reputable and reliable suppliers for all of it’s components to provide consistency and reliability in all of our products. We also maintain an inventory of all consistently used parts in our products to assist in a timely turnaround in service related incidents. All LIG Computer systems are built based on a tried and tested design to assure smooth, reliable, and predictable performance and operation. The systems listed at this site are base systems that can be configured to your specifications upon request. We can also bundle most applications with systems to provide a more complete, “ready-to-use” system out of the box.

August 2000

    In effort to constantly expand and improve our capabilities, LIG Computer started offering application and web design services in August 2000. LIG Computer's goal was to offer these services on a "to order" basis, and to do so at an affordable price. To expand on this idea, LIG Computer set an even greater goal to offer complete services to fully manage and host our websites.

February 2001

    As of February 2001, LIG Computer finished putting in place all the required elements to offer complete web design, hosting, and internet application development services. We are proud to offer our customers complete services independent of outside vendor support. We feel this gives us the ability to maintain and operate these services at the highest quality level possible.

October 2001

    LIG Computer has completed recent upgrades, and is now a full service Internet Service Provider, providing quality 56k dialup Internet service for residents local to Auburn and Syracuse NY. This was made possible by having two T1 circuits provided by Choice One Communications installed, and the additional servers required to provide the service. LIG Computer is proud to offer a fully local, reliable, and quality service to its customers.

April 2002

    Due to demand, LIG Computer has added a third full T1 provided by Choice One Communications, effectively doubling dial-in capacity. LIG Computer is and will remain committed to providing high quality dialup internet service in the Auburn area.

September 2002

    LIG Computer has added an access number local to the Syracuse, NY calling area. This will allow LIG to accept new dialup customers from the City of Syracuse, and will also allow existing dialup customers to access their account from anywhere in Central NY.

January 2003

    LIG Computer has added a fourth full T1 provided by Choice One Communications. This will allow LIG to continue to provide quality, busy-signal-free dialup internet service to our Auburn and Syracuse area customers.

April 2005

    LIG Computer has entered into an operating agreement with Cayuga Internet to manage and perform administration functions for the recently aquired ZLink customer base. This has effectively tripled our customer base, in addition to providing several new access numbers in the Central NY area.

April 2006

    LIG Computer has relocated it's server equipment to the Cayuga Internet/Choice One colo in Syracuse in order to provide a faster, more reliable hosting and dialup service. Dialup service has also been upgraded to full V.92 support.

August 2006

    LIG Computer and Cayuga Internet have relocated our office to 22 E Genesee St in Auburn. This location will be open for public business by September 1st.

December 2007

    Cayuga Internet aquires the LynNet dialup customer base from Geneva, NY. LIG Computer introduces the new "Slimline" line of affordable desktop computers with pricing starting at $549. This effectively enters LIG into an entirely new market of retail customers.
